Firststarted in 2010, MP is known for their recycled textile handmade dolls and toys, each of them meticulously crafted by crafters from a range of culturally-rich regions. These dolls and toys are typically made from unwanted fabrics sourced from textile waste. For their tenth year milestone, Public voted for their own MP mascot to be made into a doll and 400 units were sold out within a day from vending booth as soon as the tenth grand sale kicked off of the Malaysia Grand Sale at Publika, Kuala Lumpur, from 13-15 November.

The event, held at The Square, Publika, created waves among collectors as the sale highlighted the cutest and unique handmade dolls and toys from twenty different cultural background. All of them are made from 18,000 excess and discarded textiles, giving brand new life to those once-forgotten materials.

The social enterprise, known as MP, is committed to offering buyers a slice of the global textile waste issue – which has since inspired the global community to rethink waste accumulation and consumption habits. MP founder expressed his commitment to making one of his creations an annual assembly event.
Twenty crafters worked together to contribute their respective creations that represented a myriad of cultures, by drawing on their local traditional upcycling methods and artwork styles.
